do people really care about tiers
by: UmmSo I actually really think I like DG but I'm kinda afraid that people will look down on me if I join them. They see like they have great sisterhood, they are passionate about their philanthropy, they're HUGE and thought highly of nationally, and I'll the girls I've talked to are really fun. But like I don't want people to think I chose them because I was just "rejected" from all the other sororities, I really like them and feel comfortable with them. But I feel like some of the other pledges will be a drag because I do know that plenty of them will be girls who don't like DG

If you truly like DG and feel comfortable there, join. Honestly, NYU is so large and the greek community is so small in comparison that it really doesn't matter in the bigger sense who's top and who's not. Besides, like you said DG is an amazing sorority nationwide (it's actually the #1 I believe) so even if a few people make fun of you for it, you're going to get amazing connections in the end and once you graduate, nobody will know it was bottom here. They'll just know it's a top sorority.
