which frat to rush

I'm a freshman and didn't rush this fall but want to rush spring. Just wondering which fraternities to look out for that are close but also throw good parties(not douchey as well)

This might be an unpopular opinion but here it is:

I've been in a sorority since freshman year and, with Pike's seniors gone and the pledge classes FIJI has had these past two years, Fiji is the top house right now (and they haven't been too long enough to be THAT douchey yet).

Pike is still great and has a great reputation but aren't as good as when I was a freshman. Zeta psi had potential to be top 1-2 years ago....but they had a mix of trying to hard and trying to hard to be other fraternities....

Zbt is also great and they shouldn't get as bad a rep as they do. They're "middle tier" but are still the nicest guys in Greek life.

But find out who you mesh with best and join them!

If I were a dude, I'd do FIJI, ZBT and then Pike as my 3. :) ZPsi are kinda snobby and awkward.

Pike, Aepi, and Zeta Psi have historically always been the top with FIJI coming in recently to fill the gap after Aepi got kicked off.

Don't let the self raters on here throw you off (FIJI lol).

Show up to rush unbiased and find the group you fit in with the most. Don't just do it off perception.

My recommendation would be to rush Pike or ZPsi for the best social life, and to rush FIJI as a back-up. Pike and ZPsi have become more selective the past year, taking fewer kids. FIJI always gives 30+ bids so you're pretty much a guarantee.

I don't know who's above who on the ranking but all 3 of those fraternities give out 30+ bids each semester. Typically around 30-35. So what you're judging it on isn't really a factor

I don't know what you're talking about but we only gave 29 bids this semester, which was all time record, and not all of them made it to the end.
