At first I wanted Pi Phi, but as recruitment week progressed, I am so happy that Pi Phi dropped me the before the second weekend. Their sisterhood SUCKS and I don’t even think I can count the number amount of real girls I met on my hands. I’m so happy that I am NOT a Pi Phi :) good luck getting girls to join

Not sure why these girls think they’re so great when they’re obviously not. They’re falling fast. Just look at their recruitment numbers

Observation: I am genuinely interested in PiPhi's recruitment strategy. In my opinion, they need to work on it because they are doing fall informal recruitment. I will not be surprised if the active fraternities at NYU will stop mixing with them. It's too bad that there were not enough girls who liked them.

Lol this is honestly funny. 3 other orgs are doing informal recruitment as well so its really an issue of interest in greek life as a whole going down not necessarily an issue with pi phis recruitment skills but go off i guess?

well piphi was the only org below quota on bid day and the only org that had to snap bid, so naturally, people may have questions

I'm fascinated w/the reviews here based on their stumble during formal recruitment. Here's the thing. They probably cut pretty heavily at first (whether they were required to by RFM, I'm not sure b/c I don't know whether NYU uses RFM) and then had a bad night & their returns to pref weren't as good as they would normally have been. I've worked with many chapters (for a different national) and this can happen to any chapter - even the top chapters. Looks like they are taking steps to make up for it & are doing well, so don't be so sure they are "falling fast." Unless that's just wishful thinking, in which case you are just a sad, bitter person and I feel sorry for you.

Pi Phi is on the way up - lots of people on this board will dispute that and feel threatened by it, but it's a fact. They have improved in every way, but above all, they have a sisterhood that cannot be denied. And, they don't feel the need to denigrate the other sororities on campus because they are confident in their strength as an organization, and know that it's possible for ALL of NYU's sororities to be outstanding without anyone being "bottom tier." If you are looking for a well-rounded Greek experience that isn't overwhelming, give Pi Beta Phi a look.
