What's Hot - New York University - NYU

ZTA is controversial bc they're 2 years old, so people have lots of varied opinions about them, especially since they did so well at fall recruitment 2012. I find that they're very involved in the Greek community; you can always find a few Zetas at other Greeks' events, which I think is fantastic. They have a lot of sisterhood events to make the chapter closer since they're the largest, having not lost any pledges this year. Mix pretty frequently, could mix more. Down-to-Earth personalities.

Pi Phi is a great organization! They don't mix much and some people think they're average looking, but that doesn't really matter if you're looking for a sorority that doesn't party. I've found that the girls are also a little shy and quiet at first, but they're nice when you get to know them. Very girl-next-door types. I wouldn't say they're top house, but they're definitely one of the better ones.

Purely according to the numbers, DPhiE was a close 2nd choice at recruitment this year. The statistics were released at Panhel two weeks ago. However, disregarding that, DPhiE is still a top house due to their longstanding tradition of excellence. Yet they also have a reputation for not supporting fellow Greeks and being snobby in general. They only mix with one frat (PIKE), rarely show up to other organizations' events, and don't do much for philanthropy either. Not the nicest girls.

Most of these girls are sweet and nice, but they're also socially awkward, which I don't see as terrible because I'm sure they'll grow out of it. However, they really don't do anything in terms of attending other Greeks' events or raising money for philanthropy, and they never mix because of their recent scandal. So maybe in a few years AST will be better, but for now it's everyone's last choice (except maybe KKG). They have promise though!

Not in NYU Greek Life but friends with a lof of girls who are. DPhiE is overwhelmingly the most sought after sorority during recruitment. Sure it is not for everyone. There is some cattiness and snobbiness about other organizations. But it is the top sorority on campus. DPhiE is usually girl's #1 pick going into recruitment for good reason. It is the most social organization on campus.

DPhiE has been the top sorority on campus for a long time. They frequently get a reputation for being snobby and mean because of it. With Zeta on campus DPhiE may not be the top sorority for much longer, but as of now they are definitely the most social and popular (based on recruitment numbers) sorority on campus. Its too bad that nationals is not stronger. Attractive, social girls, not always the most involved however.

Pi Phi is great nationally but falls short at NYU. Maybe in the future they could rise up due to their strong national backing but as of now they are overshadowed by the "more social and attractive" sororities on campus. Good sisterhood and campus involvement. All girls in Pi Phi always love it so it is not a mistake to join. But it is definitely not the most social or popular sorority around.

Small, but solid group of guys. They have a great off campus house, and throw lots of parties. Not to involved in greek community, but very tight knit among themselves.

As a girl in an NYU sorority, I have to say, this is my favorite frat. I really like these guys. They're nice guys and a lot of fun to hang out with.
