frat rush/joining expectations
by: futurebear
I’m an incoming freshman for fall 2019 and I am thinking on joining a frat. I like how frats are great for meeting new people, and the goals that frats claim to have as well regarding building better men.
What should I be expecting during the process of rushing and joining a frat at MSU? Heavy time consumption? Heavy hazing? If so what kinds? Etc.

If you’re a concerned parent I would try to find a family member or friend that has joined a fraternity. Missouri states frats are very “typical” so take that as you will. However, if you’re son is looking for fraternity that is very goal/school/leadership oriented rather than fun/brotherhood/tailgates then I would have him look at theta chi and pi kappa phi.

I would also have him consider SigEP or Delta Chi since they are really all round the best on campus.
