is xi omicron iota as active as the other sororities?
by: PnmDo they have a similar social/philanthropic calendar as the other sororities or are they not as active?

I’m in Xi Om and yes we are!
I can’t actually go into details but we are involved in just as much as the national sororities. We throw events and attend just as many events as everyone else. We are very involved with our Philanthropy as well. (Creep on our official social media accounts and maybe find some of our members if you’d like a sneak peek)
If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

Honestly, no. We do everything national sororities do! All fraternities and sororities start somewhere, we’re just newer. The FSL community respects us just the same and we don’t get treated any different. We have requirements and standards just like the rest of them lol. The only difference is that we are local and I personally believe that makes us have a stronger bond.
Tbh, if a sisterhood fits you and you love the people you meet, you shouldn’t care regardless. You’ll learn that each sorority is different though. Just don’t let the wrong things steer you from certain sororities.

I know some Xi Oms personally and they’re a nice group of girls. I know a lot of national frats and sororities that aren’t involved at all. Being local or being national means nothing if your chapter doesn’t get involved. I can vouch that some nationals do the bare minimum. Xi Om may be local but they do a hell of a lot.

Go trough recruitment. Get to know the chapters. And pick the ones that you feel most comfortable with. No disrespect but no one is going to tell you what to join. Pick a chapter for the right reasons instead of the superficial reasons.
If you care that much about nationals, only go through national recreuitment. It’s a mutual selection process.
I hope you find the right place for your needs.
This is something you HAVE to find out on your own.

I may be a bit biased but I love my sisterhood with Xi Om. They girls are very sweet and each and every one of them are different so there’s endless diversity within the sorority.
I agree that this is a process that you have to do on your own and you should really get to know people within each sorority to see if you feel as though you match up well with their values. I know people say this a lot but all sororities truly are different.
I also think that you should ask yourself what you’re looking for in a sorority. You are curious about Xi Om and I think that’s great but if you’re not sure, maybe go through National recruitment just to see how that goes. If you choose to drop National recruitment, you can still go through with Xi Omicron Iota’s recruitment! Keep it in mind!

Are you treated differently because you're a local rather than a national?
