sorority spring recruitment???
by: freshieI'm curious as to how spring recruitment works? Do all the sororities participate in it? And is it more difficult to get a bid from a house during the spring? I was unsure about joining the FSL community when I came here in the fall, so I didn't participate in Fall Rush, but since then I've met so many great people who are in fraternities and sororities and I'm definitely looking to join a sorority.

-Spring recruitment is very different than fall in that it is informal. Not all sororities participate in spring recruitment... It depends on how many girls were initiated in the fall and if any girls drop and what the sororities quota is. Less girls go through spring recruitment and it's pretty laid back, but having that be said it might be a little harder to get a bid.

I wouldn't say it's necessarily harder to get a bid. Fewer girls go through spring recruitment, which makes it a lot less intimidating. I would encourage you to at least give spring recruitment a try!
