partying before recruitment??

Does it matter if PNMs go to parties before they go through recruitment?

I wouldn't go if I were you. It's not illegal and PNM's do it, but it just doesn't look great. You have four years to party- if you can't hold off for a week what does that say about you. Also it's tempting to go really hard at your first few college parties. Going and saying to yourself "I'm gonna have 2 drinks and that's it!" can really easily turn into you getting carried back to your dorm or your head in the toilet. Get comfortable on campus and take it easy until recruitment.
