Recruitment Advice

hey you! i know it’s hard to understand and i know it all feels do-or-die while going through rush, but try to not get caught up in the bs of which chapter is the coolest and who’s hottest and stuff like that. join the chapter that makes you feel like you belong there. join the chapter with the girls that you can see yourself actually hanging out with for the next 4 years. it hurts to hear, but not every girl belongs in every chapter, no matter how much you wish you do. i rushed freshman year, somehow got a bid to a “top house”, then was literally isolated and bullied out of it. i rushed again last year and joined a house that “isn’t as cool”, but my experience has been so much better. basically, just know yourself and try to not put yourself into a bad position. some of these girls aren’t as nice as you think they are. if you aren’t what they want, they won’t treat you well. :(
