informal recruitment
by: FroshI heard many sororities are doing informal recruitment. I was wondering which ones are and how I could get involved with that?

No. Theta is not. The recruitment numbers are out. Look them up. Everyone made quota.

About half of all the sororities do because panhel upped quota for the total amount of members each sorority has and most are under by a few members. The sororities will be seeking out members via invitation only and it won't be a big event like phi sig and aephi do.

I cannot recall any of the top or even mid tier sororities doing informal. Your chapter would have to have a specific training etc etc. it just doesn't happen very often with most sororities

If I want to try to join one how would I go about getting an invitation? Would I have to know someone in the sorority ?

Oddly enough the only sorority who didnt hit primary quota was DZ. AXO and DG didn't hit secondary quota (aka sophomores), but that might have been optional (it was last year, I'm not sure if it was this year).
None of the sororities who hit quota are likely to do informal recruitment. DZ, AXO, and DG might but they also might just invite certain girls to rush. Otherwise, AEPhi will be having informal, because they do every semester, and probably Phi Sig again, because they only have 100 girls.

Also for some reason that link didnt work but the cliff alexander website has recruitment statistics up under "facts and stats" it's really not that difficult to find

Not sure why people keep coming on here and saying this is wrong or others are lying. Half the sororities need like 3-5 girls and even though they made recruitment quota. They could stay under but many are under pressure from nationals and are participating. Like someone said above, it will be by invitation and will happen very discretely. The girls chosen will probably be friends of the girls that just got bids or other members of the chapter.
