advice for pnms
by: gogreek
ANY sorority is better than no sorority. You are probably not going to end up where you think you are and dropping out of recruitment will be a huge HUGE mistake. With as big as sororities at Miami are (150-200 girls) , I can guarantee you can find an awesome friend group no matter what "tier" you end up in. Stick it out for at least a few weeks, or until you have to pay dues. I'm a senior now, and as a freshman I was unhappy with where I ended up but now I honestly wouldn't want to be anywhere else. (even the sorority I originally preffed)
Good luck the next few weeks and try not to be too upset if you get cut from places you love, as much as everyone says trust the system, it has flaws and there is so much that is out of your control (you will see that on the other side). You are awesome and everything works out for the best! It might take you a while to see that but believe it!!

While I agree that no matter what sorority you get in, you will most likely be happy and find friends in it, dropping out isn't necessarily the worst decision you can make. PNMs actually have decent options in informal this year. AEPhi is working on getting their numbers up and starting to compete with other sororities and in Phi Sig you can become a founder and help shape a brand new sorority on campus.
