how important is it to know girls in sororities?

So I'm out of state and I don't really know any older girls, just freshman girls, so I don't know any girls in sororities. How important is it during rush that you know girls in some of the sororities?

for some sororities its more important than others. it just depends! you'll be fine dont worry about it, just be yourself and if a sorority likes you they will keep you
