gpa

by:

I am a freshman girl with a 2.7 Gpa and my high school Gpa was a just over a 3.5 (out of 4). Will sororities cut me because my college Gpa is under a 2.7? I'm taking a class over jterm hoping to make it a 3.0

some will but you will be fine for others. some sororities have a 2.5 cut off, others have a 2.8... it varies. pretty sure you can look up the cut offs somewhere (like in the book they give you @ kickoff)

Does anyone know what the specific cutoffs are for some sororities (theta, piphi, tridelt, gphi, axo?)

by: nope

axo - 2.75
tri delt - 2.6
gphi - 2.8
theta - 2.8
pi phi - 2.6

this is what is was last year for those sororities

Pretty sure the majority are now 2.8.

if my gpa (with my jterm grade) is over a 2.8, and i fill out a grade explanation form with my jterm grade, will sororities take that as my new gpa?

If you are hot you will get a hot sorority. If you aren't you won't. Grades have nothing to do with it.

Nationals sets the rules. Minimum gpa requirements are legit.

is there pretty much no chance of getting a bid if you have a gpa lower than 2.8?

Hey - I'm not sure exactly, but there is some benefit to those who raise their Gpa by taking a class over jterm and then fill out a grade explanation form, especially if that new Gpa is close to or over a 3.0
