which sororities are not "basic"

So I'm pretty torn on joining a sorority because I'm not sure if it'll be for me. Ive always dressed more hipster-y and I'm a science major and I listen to a lot of indie and alternative music and it seems like most sorority girls are the opposite? I really like the idea of sisterhood but idk if I'll find a sorority with girls like me, so does anyone have any opinions of which sororities (if any) at Miami are the most 'unique'. Sorry if I sound rude but idk how to phrase it

You can always rush and if you don't like it drop. There are hipsterish girls in a lot of the sororities, they arnt just for preppy girls

Mix of girls in every sorority. Preppy girls in the more "hipster" sororities, and hipster girls in the "preppy" sororities. Rush and see how it works out for you!

Sounds like PiPhi would be a good fit for you. Zeta and AXO have girls like that too. Good luck!

But every sorority has a little bit of that, so don't limit yourself. Have friends in above mentioned sororities lime that, but Alpha Phi, Theta, DG and Kappa, all have girls like that too

tbh the kind of "hipster" girls in those sororities are the "basic" hipster type.

Honestly, everyone would probably have a different answer to this based on who they know in different sororities. In my opinion, pi phi is a little more hipster than most and phi mu and tri delt are more preppy. However that's just my opinion

any of the top 5 ( in NO order: DG, Theta, Pi Phi, A Phi, and AXO) are a mix of girls where you'll fit in just fine. I would say DZ tends to be more preppy/ typical sorority girl

Above mentioned sororities all have plenty of hipster girls, good mix in all.

pi phi is definitely the most basic hipster but id also consider aopi. they may be a good fit because they dont typically attract the basic sorority type. they fly under the radar but have many types of girls
