If you get invited back to pref round by your favorite sorority, is being a legacy beneficial?

What I mean is, will being a legacy help me to get a bid from my favorite sorority if I make it to pref round

You automatically get a bid if you pref them and you're a legacy

Being a legacy really only helps during the first rounds, though it really depends on each sororitys national policy. For most of them they just have to invite legacies back for second round and afterwards it doesn't really do anything. However if you make it to pref the sorority probably wants you anyway. The only reason you wouldn't get a bid is if you were too low on the list when bid matching happens. I think something like 60% of girls get their first choice from pref at the very least

Every sorority has a different way of dealing with legacies, but if you make it to pref chances are they want you.

more than likely you will get that sorority. Make sure you still list your second and third choice.

Legacy policy is different for each sorority. But I know Theta and Pi Phi's national policy is if you are a legacy and get an invitation to pref night, you get a bid if you pref them first. I only know theirs for sure because I was a legacy at both and knew they had to cut me before pref night.

if you go to pref for a sorority in which you are a legacy they are required to offer you a bid. you can chose a different sorority, however, if you don't want to be in the sorority youre a legacy for.
