Panhellenic voted NOT to open Miami up for sorority expansion so there isn't a new sorority coming to campus.

WHY is Miami of Ohio featured on this site?

I'm sorry to say it, but their Greek system is very poor. I've not only heard it from many friends at this particular school, but I've witnessed it first hand when I took a trip up to visit.

None of these girls are nice. No one is genuine and no one has any respect. I don't know what these sororities base their acceptance on, but there is no sorority here that is worthy of being taken seriously by any standards.

Learn a little southern hospitality from the real Greeks down south.

down south, they know how to be hospitable .. that's why a lot of campuses down south don't have so many sororities thrown into their greek life where literally ANY sorority is good.

up north, it's a different story. if you're not in a top tier here ... sorry to say it, but it sucks and forget meeting half decent guys and having socials with good frats. good frats don't want to waste their good oxygen on the middle/bottom tier ... sorry. if you're in a top tier, you better damn right know how to LIVE IT LEARN IT LOVE IT

and as for the bottom tier? oh well.. at least you might get a good job out of it

i really think miami greek life really needs to step it up or panhel should make a huge cut, but that's just my personal opinion.

there are wayyyyy too many sororities here and you really do run the risk of ending up in one where you are absolutely miserable.

what does being hospitable have to do with greek life here at miami? and what does it have to do with the number of sororities on campus? get your facts and reasoning straight. you do not deserve to go here. you are embarrassing me.

i've heard some absolute horror stories about the middle tier. i wish rush could be taken a little more seriously here so people know what they're getting into beforehand.

maybe deferred rush isn't such a great idea. when you wait until second semester, rushing is kind of like a bandwagon that everyone just ...does.

i wish we did non-deferred rush. it:

a) eliminates a lot of rumors from being spread before rush
b) only attracts the girls who really deserve to be greek and is, therefore, taken a little more seriously
c) gives every sorority a fair chance

i also wish we had houses

but oh well, pi phi is always on top so we don't have to worry!
