if you're still in high school definitely do not worry about rush yet! it will only make you anxious! miami doesn't rush until second semester so it will be a full year and a half before you even go through this process! go enjoy your senior year! see you in 2010 : )

Seriously, the bashing NEEDS to stop. It makes the whole greek system look stuck up, rude, and just plain mean, which is the last thing we need.
I'm in a house and of course I think we're the best; I would hope that every girl thinks her house is the best... that's kind of the point, y'know? There is no reason that people should be this insecure that they feel the need to talk against other houses. All of the houses at Miami are great, so for all the incoming freshman... you WILL find a spot where you belong. I promise :)

what is the best way to have a great rush if you are from out of state?

honestly if you are from out of state it shouldnt make any difference at all... my advice for rushing is that when you go in to each sorority be yourself :) its important to be outgoing and have a good conversation to get to know the girls. how well you click with a sorority is the main factor to whether or not you get in...so make sure you are interested in the conversation and you could truly see yourself in that house... im sure you will do great!

Another rush question.....thanks, in advance, for the information. I have heard that "legacy" status isn't that relevant during rush anymore. Is this the case at Miami?

Kappas quit hating on DZ. It's pathetic.

All this bickering is really making the greek community look catty. We are not in high school. Could we please stop all this back and fourth between sororities?
Also, for those going into rush... keep an open mind, becuase alot of the time you think you want to be in a certain soroity, when in reality that sorority really isn't the one for you.

ranking you should really try not to stir up anymore drama....especially when people are trying to smooth it over... im not sure what sorority you are in but you should really stop trying to create more problems... im not sure if you have a personal dislike of a CERTAIN sorority... but you should really let it go. we all need to get along.
