sorority comments

while i agree with focusing on middle tier because face it, its so true, not nearly all the girls that wanna end up top will.

however, i disagree completely about zeta and kd being on par, above fuzzie, gamma phi, and phi mu.

if there were to be a "top middle", it'd consist of gamma phi, zeta, and fuzzie... with phi mu and kd coming in at the "bottom mid".

ok so going along with the below post, i guess this is what's being said...

top seven:
classy- pi phi, axo, alpha phi, kappa
fun and loud- dg, theta, dz

middle tier:
classy- zeta, kd
fun and loud- fuzzie, gamma phi, phi mu

zeta and kd classy? classier than phi mu, gamma phi, and fuzzie? i don't think so.

same with the "top seven"... i would rather place pi phi in the fun and loud group than the 'classy' group.

everyone knows that zeta, fuzzie, and gphi are top mid and kd, phi mu, and maybe even chi o could be considered bottom mid. you can't break it up into classy versus fun and loud, or one bandstand routine versus another.

top seven:

THIS REALLY TELLS THE TRUTH. PERIOD.

ok like i'm just being honest. that classy vs. loud thing actually does tell the truth and if, for some reason, you think that you put on the wrong act during rush and don't really think you're in the right place... it sucks. when i rushed, i heard so many things about "EZ-DZ" from a friend who was so obsessed with getting into a "classy" sorority. so i put on this super duper classy prude conservative act during open house and got cut from A LOT. i probably came across as the biggest nerd. it wasn't until first round when it was too late that i realized that was a REALLY BAD idea. i'm in a sorority now, but i wish that i would've been myself rather than putting on a class act and being the miss academic superstar that i'm not. i mean, it was bad... i didn't even want to admit that i was a cheerleader in high school because my friend told me that the top sororities don't accept cheerleaders. i was so wrong. moral of the story: don't listen to stupid friends and just be yourself.

yeah, be yourself during rush. i had a friend that was afraid to admit that she went somewhere over winter break because her grandpa had passed away and didn't want to lie about it, so she didn't bring him up in conversation so whenever girls would ask she would say she didn't go anywhere and basically just sit there and stare. but seriously... sorority girls aren't as scary as you think and we've all been in your spot, so just be yourself during open house when it is the most important. let's face it, you're not going to talk to girls exactly like you and the girls your talking to understand that. being yourself is better than ending up somewhere you don't belong.

oh p.s. that friend was from another school, it's something she talks openly about and laughs about now so i'm not really being rude by posting that on here
