there's more to these houses, i.e. why there are where they are, than the lists are giving up

PI PHI/ AXO : blondes, lots of blondes. they've consistently been at the top for a while, and for good reason. they're really good during rush. very exclusive.

DG/ THETA: very similar... to be honest, a lot of people can't really tell the difference. really want to be the "top" sororities at miami not the "2nd to top"... in all reality, their not below pi phi or axo. also very exclusive.

A PHI: so many rumors about whether or not they bring in decoy girls (from other schools) during rush, no one really knows the truth. they, like DG and THETA try very hard. their status seems to go up and down depending on who you talk to.

KAPPA/ DZ: these ones are interesting. they seem to hate each other because their kind of polar opposites. KAPPA will tell you their better than DZ, DZ will tell you they're better than KAPPA. both very exclusive, but in very different ways.

This grouping is most accurate -- it's hard to seperate each group individually.

We get it who the top five sororities are. We've seen it a million times. I think the girls who are the real stars are the ones who opted to pledge "lower" tier sororities even though they had the chance to pledge a top five sorority. There are more of those girls than you think. These are the girls who are solid, authentic and not nearly as superficial as most of the girls in the top tier sororities are.

I completely agree with the post two below me. You couldn't have said it better. I hope everyone who rushes this year understands it's not about which sorority is rated higher, it's about which sorority you feel like you can truly be yourself in. all of the sororities are great and all i can say is to go through rush with an open mind. be genuine instead of superficial and you will find your place. there are some awesome girls in the top tier sororities as well, but keep in mind that you're rushing for "sisters" and a "second home", not status. find a place where you can genuinely be yourself and your next four years will be so much happier :)

yes! this is what being greek is all about...supporting each other instead of tearing everyone down based on the letters they wear.
