#1754by: To KD?
That is absolute bs. If KD were in the top 1/3 overall then that would put them in the top 5. KD is nowhere close to being there in fact KD is in the bottom five. They are no where near as strong a chapter as AXO, DG, DZ, THETA, APHI, ZETA, GPHI, PIPHI, KAPPA, CHI O or PHI MU. The girls who end up pledging KD would have jumped at a chance for a bid at any of these sororites but didn't receive one. Facts are facts.

To the mom who posted. the only difference between the girls in the top tier and the mid tier is A LOT of money and super over acheivers who spend way to much time being a top sorority girl and not enought time being friendly. DZ is considered top and they are not the typical vineyard vine, tory burch wannabees.
Mid tier rankings so that lots of housing are grea but truly even houses at the bottom are getting better every recruitment. The bottom tier are great women who want to be in a sorority without having to look and act like a sorority girl every day. Even if they sound nasty about the rankings, Miami is a GOOD greek system and they ALL get along. They live in houses with girls from 2 or 3 GLOS after sorority dorms sophomore year so they respect each chapter.

To the Mom who posted: Please do not reference the post titled "Greek to me" as it's ignorant. Every chapter has members with money and not with a ton of money...I can think of a very poor DZ and a very rich AOPi. And, DG is considered a "top" house but the only thing they "overachieve" at is passing out; on the other hand, AEPhi is considered a "low" house, and they are overachievers with their work.
Each chapter does a great job putting in their time (equally) to recruitment and it shows! Every PNM will agree. In the end, it comes down to the identity of the chapter (NOT money or time dedicated to recruitment).

I am the mom who posted, and I thank everyone for their feedback. I still don't know a lot about all this, but I am sure my daughter will find a great sorority in January. During the open houses this month, she enjoyed meeting girls in many of the houses and said she really liked a lot of the sororities.
