Can someone explain to me what rushing is actually alike? I understand there are rounds and everything where you talk to girls in different soroities, but what does a typical day look like?

You basically get a schedule with sorority names and times listed. The locations are super random and kind of spread out so sometimes it's stressful getting to a party on time. You just follow your schedule and talk to girls (be prepared to lose your voice) and then you spend a decent amount of time at the end of the night ranking. As the rounds go on you'll get used to it and your schedule will get smaller. I would bring a pair of boots for walking outside and a bag with your rush shoes, mints, snacks, water, etc. I'm not going to lie and say it isn't tiring, but it's all worth it in the end! Enjoy it and good luck!

To add on, be prepared for a LOT of cheering, singing, jumping, and screaming as soon as you enter the rooms. You're going to be escorted to a part of the room while the girls sing and the president or recruitment chair introduces themselves and after they're done presenting (or showing a video or whatever) you're going to sit down with the girl that escorted you into the room and talk to her a while until someone else shows up. I remember being really overwhelmed and a little scared when I went into my first round so just know that's normal. Also the girl you're talking to might not have a voice by the second day from all the cheering and singing.

Do you get breaks in between the parties?

You get a lunch break during the first saturday and sunday plus breaks for when your rush group is scheduled for them during open house. Also there are more time slots than parties you can go to for the other three rounds so you get breaks during rounds you're not scheduled for (for instance- there are around 16 timeslots for parties for second round, and let's say you get invited back to 10 sororities, that means you have 6 of those timeslots free for break)
