How big is a typical pledge class for fraternities here?

Usually between 25-35. Some have less and some have more, but I'd say the average is in that range.

Pike's pledge class was 45 studs. That should be the new standard. Pike has been really improving lately. Houses like Phi Psi and KA won't be able to keep up with them with their 20-30 person pledge classes.
