30,000 foot look: why do you care? If they have their class selected before rush begins and you're not part of it and you wanted to be included --- then it would motivate me to "gently" say to myself "eff them" and then I'd do what I could to prove them wrong.
I don't want anyone who doesn't want me. It's like when you always wanted to work for Goldman Sachs and you don't even make it to round 1 of campus interviews. Do you sit around and cry or do you pursue their biggest competitors and for the next 40 years of your life you eff them where it hurts every chance you get?
The choice is yours. Are you a winner? It's not what happens to you. It's how you react to it that matters.
There's so much disappointment in life. GS doesn't interview at 22, NW grad school doesn't accept you at 26, the country club doesn't admit you at 40.....get used to rejection.
And yes. When everyone wants you, you get to make the rules. It's the way it's always been and the way it will always will be.
All this "equity" stuff is a giant wink and nod. Drive from Indian Hill to Bond Hill if you don't believe me. Lots folks talking about the merits of "equity" in $4 million estates in Indian Hill who'd rather die than live in Bond Hill.
Summary: if you're Bond Hill and want to be Indian Hill then bust your ass and buy a nicer $5 million estate on Grandin Avenue in Hyde Park. And never forget where you came from.

you should probably research RFM and how it works before you start down your recruitment heartbreak. These “top” chapters are not based on looks or money. Some of the wealthiest girls at Miami are in “bottom tier” sororities. Top tiers are literally extended high school friend groups. If your high school is lucky enough to get one girl in that pulls for you, you’re in luck. If not probably not going to happen. RFM requires these top chapters to release people so quickly without meeting them it’s impossible to be seen and for them to see you. So yes before recruitment they pretty much have their class. RFM forces that on the sorority. Now go find a sorority that fits you and know that if you were cut it’s not personal and don’t take it that way.

Unfortunately this is true. Same with theta as well by looking at the mutuals in pnms igs… it was actually crazy. They pick the prettiest and stick with that. Leftovers get dz/axo. These sororities are sick and if you seriously care about this, rethink your decision of rush.
