DG buying followers is a power move

Let’s start with the obvious. It’s clearly them buying followers. They have been extremely active and could have paused the issue and removed the fake followers if they wanted to.

It’s an absolute power move because whether or not you care much about followers and Instagram stats there’s now no saying what their real numbers are and what’s fake.

But the key is it distracted everyone from every other issue they had. They know time ran out. If there was an investigation there would have been results by now. All that lame stuff they did they can’t blame on others. And all the blaming they did do didn’t stick / died out with hard proof days later. So best move they could have done was give everyone something different to talk about that isn’t nearly as bad as the other things they’ve done and they can handle dealing with/explaining.
