Cuts During Rush?
by: PNMHi! I'm a PNM. Just reading the Panhellenic website and I'm confused about the cuts between Welcome Round and Philanthropy. It seems like we still wouldn't have met anyone in person, just watching chapter videos. Is that what we base our decision on? Are there cuts on the opposite side? Meaning the PNM could get cut? And without meeting in person beforehand? How is that decided? The video we submitted? Grades? But what if they were at or above the chapter requirement? Thank you!

You will get cut. No one but the best pnms will get 11 back the first day. Cuts are greatest after sisterhood, so if you have like 4 that is amazing. Before we meet you cuts are grades, if we know you, social media (yes we check), and your video. Aphi also cuts for looks. I hear zta really cares about legacy but that is rumor. After we meet it’s really just if you vibe with who you talked to. We can tell if you are a better fit elsewhere. That’s why we say trust the process.
You will rank the sororities based on videos and opportunities you’ve had to meet girls out, in class, or sprite dates. Think vibe not rank on this stupid site. The vibe matters most.

Likewise you are ranking sororities without really meeting any of them. I mean you are probably going to cut them based on a video and whatever you find on this site. It’s all a numbers game but ultimately it works. Just remember every sorority here is going to give you a great experience.

I know this sounds mean but I’m not a mean person. Theta cannot possibly be cutting on looks. There are plenty of just regular looking girls with ChiO vibes and a good number of larger girls. That’s why their nickname is Big Theta.
