Socials (sororities)
by: ahhhhi'm a freshman whos rushing in the spring and i was wondering if all sororities did social events (rentals, date parties, formal, etc.) or if only certain ones did? i want to be in a social sorority...any reccomendations

They all do socials but some have a lot more than others. Alpha phi, Theta, DG, DZ, and Axo have the most and host date parties together. They also seem to usually get the best locations and times. Sororities like Kappa Zta and Phi mu also have regular socials, but they’re not mixed with the other 5.

Just clarifying.
When you’re on sopro you do nothing. Theta on sopro this semester. Aphi was on sopro last spring. Dg was on sopro spring before that. So they weren’t mixing with anyone or having socials.
When not on sopro though Aphi and theta share some events. Dg zeta and kappa stick to themselves mostly but I heard zeta and kappa might be mixing. Axo does a lot alone but will try to share events and dz will beg anyone to share anything with them.
All of these have good social calendars if they stay out of trouble.

This is so not true lmao it’s really not this deep. Yeah when you’re on sopro you don’t do anything, but it usually only lasts a month or two. Kappa and zeta don’t really mix with other sororities because their nationals are weird about it but Theta, Aphi, Axo, DZ and DG all do stuff with only each other pretty consistently.

On top of the socials and date parties that EVERY sorority has, frats also have them. They also have regular nights like tke Tuesday and another one has regular wine nights blah blah. You can pretty much be in any chapter and go to these. But the frats also send messages on GCs inviting certain srats to things and all these srat chapters get invited to a lot. If you want social you’ll be good in any of these.

^^^^ the only comment on this thread you need. everyone does socials, date parties, rentals, and formals. go through recruitment and find the women you want to do all that with.
