APHI scandal at Miami

As an aphi we support everyone and anyone to join an organization and certainly do not discriminate against anyone during the recruitment process :)) this would become more than obvious once you have talked to any member of alpha phi!

I’m a junior and did not know and neither did the rest of my PC - ur making stuff up at this point. What do you gain from it?

Yes there is woc in the alpha phi chapter and no they do not discriminate during the recruitment process - absolutely no sorority should be

alpha phi employs looks based discriminatory recruitment on a national level. as a women in a different chapter that actually employs values based recruitment it’s disgusting. google alpha phi Michigan recruitment scandal, theres a couple articles that outline the process via a whistle blower from their chapter.

What does Michigan alpha phi rush have anything to do with Miami. All of our chapters rush differently nationally

it’s a policy enforced by nations how chapters vote and decided chapters is mandated by nationals in every org. don’t play dumb.

I need an honest answer. I know Miami is not the most diverse campus but does this chapter have more than ten WOC or like five or like one. This says something to me about the chapter. I cannot be associated with a chapter or risk bad publicity in the career that I am headed for. For example those stupid phi psi boys... they themselves did that deed but now all phi psi is associated with that stunt.

aphi is not the chapter you want to join if you’re concerned about diversity. look at their instagram it speaks for itself. i’d avoid dg too tbh

Maybe whatever sorority you’re in rushes the same nationally but Aphi doesn’t. Also yes there are more than 5 woc in alpha phi - the girls posting on this website don’t know what they’re talking about as they aren’t in the chapter and only see things from a certain perspective. So as someone who has seen the chapter from both perspectives I can promise you joining alpha phi will not risk any sort of publicity for a future career and actually should help you as Aphi has one of the strongest alumni and nationals base. As an aphi here at miami I can promise I would not continue to be a member of this chapter if they discriminated against anyone.
