Phi Tau - suspended; never went away though. heard they have year round rush just to keep some type of group Fall2014
SAE- same as phi tau, except now they don't have pledging Fall2014
Sigma Chi - suspended by national, only had a few guys anyway Undecided
Beta - suspended by national 2016
Fuzzy - 2014
STG - 2014

Lots of stories about sig chi. I know phi tau and sae both got kicked off for the same thing/same time. I think they both had a 4 way with pi phi and dg, and it got too rowdy and they started shooting fireworks at each other. Then the cops came and found other stuff. That's just what I heard correct me if I'm wrong

So if I'm an incoming freshman this year, should phi tau and SAE be fraternities I want to rush or look at? Or will they be on probation and bound to get back in trouble?

You DO NOT want to join a fraternity that is not recognized by the university. They will never acknowledge that youhave joined and there is not oversight whatsoever. You also cannot participate in anything with another greek org or on campus. Either way, it's your choice

Why did phi tau, sae and sig chi get get kicked off? I'm a freshman and no ones ever mentioned why. Just curious
