just saw the panhel 2014 recruitment statistics today.
in 2013 81% of girls got their first choice on bid day,
this year, it was 76%.
We also had fewer girls suicide this year than last. (39 girls)
For how brutal rush was made to sound on this website, i gotta say, those numbers aren't bad. Yeah, girls got cut from the ones they want, but it seems like it wasn't as cutthroat as it as made out to be.
Quota was 59, but only two were actually at quota-- most were over by one or two.
Also, AGD is the only sorority that didn't make quota--genuinely curious, are they going to be able to participate in formal recruitment next year? I feel like if their chapter is consistently not making quota, something's gotta change.

I'm an AGD pledge this year and I really love it now that I've been it in for a couple of weeks but I really didn't like them all through rush. All of the girls in our pledge class pretty much felt the same way and I think all of us really want to help our chapter grow and help other girls see that we are. However I will say that none us care about how we are ranked on this site because we aren't shallow like a lot of other sorority girls on this campus ( not all!)

Did you even read that post? She said nothing about comparing herself to other sororities based on your stupid tiers. She was basically saying she didn't want to ever be as shallow as the things you just said and she is proud of it and doesn't give a damn what anyone else thinks. Every chapter should want to see themselves grow and make a presence. And this is from what most consider to be a "middle" tier.

seriously.. what is wrong with you. if she likes her sorority, then good for her. You and I both know that agd is obviously not a top tier, but that doesn't mean if you're in a lower tier sorority that you can't like it or love the girls who are in your sorority.
Also... leftovers? really? grow up.

Seriously - Who the hell is raised to talk this way to someone? Anonymous or not. WOW, you've got to believe that the philanthropic and leadership mindset is genuine and productive in this person's greek org. When you mature past middle school hierarchy, come back and apologize to this person. Anonymous or not. Oh, and AGD, it makes me want to support you guys more! --> "Ok AGD keep thinking that but let's be honest you guys are just the misfits on this campus and could never compete with the top like DG AXO and theta. They have the hottest babies this year and will keep getting the every year. You guys can have the leftovers. K bye"

ya, it probably will. but that doesn't mean that people will have a harder time getting into sororities, because houses cut based off of percentages, not specific numbers. Quota is set by how many girls attend preference round, so number of girls rushing does not affect your chances of getting in.

I would agree that more girls dropped this year than last from what I heard. but yeah I also think this year was more cut throat
