sorority rush
by: Pnm2Anyone have any advice for rushing as a sophomore; rushed as a freshman an dropped after pref.. Basically wasn't a good experience towards the end. Which sororities are more likely to bid a sophomore?

Your best bet will probably be to look at Chi O, ADPi, AOPi, Tri Delt and maybe something like Gamma Phi or Phi Mu if you're a good fit.
Sororities like DG, DZ, AXO, APhi, Pi Phi, Theta, Kappa and Zeta don't really take Sophmores, so you're gonna be looking at Middle Middle Tier and Below. You will improve your chances if you say that you will live in the corridor your Junior year.

I don't know which sororities take sophomores, but I do know it will be a lot harder for you if you dropped as a freshman and don't have a good reason (medical, family, etc.). A lot of girls will ask if you rushed before, even though they shouldn't, but they definitely take that into account.

I know DG took at least two sophomores this year, AXO and Theta both at least 1, Pi Phi took none, Alpha Phi had a few (kind of a lot actually) and I haven't heard of DZ taking any. Kappa and Zeta will probably take a sophomore if they like you, and I know Gamma Phi had like 10 sophomores in their pledge class last year
