Frats Tier Unbiased

to any freshman who is going to rush a fraternity I am going to do you a favor and give you an unbiased review as a senior on the fraternities and pledging.

i could care less about making a frat sound good or bad in this, i am telling it like it is. (in order)

Top Tier: Theta Chi, Sig Pi, KA
Mid-Tier: Sig Chi, Sig Ep, SAE, DChi, Phi Psi, Alpha Delt, Pike
Bottom Tier: TKE, FIJI, DU, FIJI, Pi Kapp
The Rest (Not In Order): Lambda, Dsig, Chi Psi, Phi Delt, Asig, Sammy, Beta, AePi, AXP, DKE, Kappa Sig, Phi Tau

The top tier: everyone pretty much loves these guys, they all haze in some way, but Sig Pi is probably the worst hazing of the three. Theta Chi is #1 they take in a lot of ohio guys and know a majority of the campus, the pledging is pretty rough. Sig Pi's house is pretty dirty, they are probably just better than KA because of their parties, but their hazing again is very bad. KA is also a top fraternity and you will see them around uptown a lot. They bounce around houses a lot because of debt and but the pledging is not as bad as the other top frats. All these guys pretty much fight over hanging out with the top sororities.

The Mid Tier: Sig Chi is an alpha chapter so they have a cool house and high GPA. The pledging is not very hard, but a majority of the fraternity doesn't go out much. Sig Ep is trying to stay relevant after getting kicked off last year and honestly I would not rush Sig Ep at all because they wont have a house for another 3 years. SAE is a lot of Chicago kids and the pledges aren't allowed to use social media (no talking to girls), they mostly hang out with DG. DChi has a pretty cool house and overall is just an average fraternity, parties are okay and the guys are alright too, hazing not too bad. Phi Psi would be a top tier if they were not kicked off campus, the pledging is up there with Sig Pi for one of the worst, but they still have some pretty cool parties. Alpha Delt has a good amount of likeable guys, but some of them are kinda weird. They've got a cool house and pledging isn't bad. Pike is pretty much the same scenario as alpha delt.

The Bottom Tier: these are frats that still have a good enough rep to not just 'be around,' but aren't good enough for a mid or top tier spot. They might have a few cool parties and all have pretty laid back pledging processes so if that's your vibe go right ahead.

Not gonna write about the rest of em. I think all upperclassmen can pretty much agree with a majority of this. If you're gonna join a frat I would really try to go for a top tier, but remember to do well in school along the way. hope this helps.
