honest question

Hey guys, this is my first time using this site and posting a question. Everyone laughs at this website and says not to trust it, but I feel like this is still the best spot to ask a question about greek life.
I didn't get a big last week. I really want to rush a fraternity. The IFC president I believe is sending a list of fraternities that are still going to be recruiting even though rush is over.
I obviously understand that these fraternities aren't by any means "top tier", but I really need help deciding between the fraternities that would still recruit.
Which of the mid/bottom tier fraternities that are expected to be on the list worth rushing? I'm not talking about fraternities like Alpha Sig, Lambda Chi, etc. that don't have houses. I'm talking about houses like DU, Chi Psi, TKE, DKE, Delta Chi, etc.
I know most kids on here claim to be in top houses, both girls and boys, but realistically (and honestly) which fraternity would you say is the most "relevant?" or most respected?
Any insightful help (and hopefully truth) would be helpful. Everyone always says "go Greek, doesn't matter where." Especially at a school like this where Greek life dominates.

Instead of going for the most "relevant" or most "respected", go with the ones where you like the brothers the most. There's a reason why people put those two words in quotes because all they are are subjective opinions that no one agrees on. This probably caused you to believe you should rush somewhere not because you like the guys there but because of the reputation on this site, which was the worst thing you could have done.
So in conclusion, stop worrying about relevancy or respect and start worrying about where you fit in because if you worry about those two things the most, I can guarantee you probably won't get a bid anywhere

Since you're asking which is most relevant of mid-to-bottom tier, it's a bit of oxymoron. With that said, you should still join one ranked as follows: 1.DU isn't that bad and has good local history; they just don't have a good initiation or stellar rep. TKE has good things going for them lately but never seems to get to the top; forever middle/lower. Chi Psi is very new so if that's your thing go for it; just don't expect good social opps. DKE & Delta Chi have houses but I wouldn't recommend.... it's up to you

No, the "Upper Tier" frats will more than likely not be accepting new pledges until next spring. They basically cheated and gave their bids out Monday when rush was cancelled, shutting out the rising fraternities. You will likely have to look at the lower or rising fraternities, which often have cooler and more down to earth guys than the ones who proclaim themselves as upper tier. There is a recruitment thing tomorrow for informal.

What if I can't get a bid from 'somewhere respectable' next year? Pledging during sophomore year is not as fun as freshman

Pledging is overrated and not supposed to be fun. It is to make you a man who can endure hardship, or turn you into a weak, psychologically scarred underling in a fraternity whose morals and duty are collapsing. To have pledges is a great responsibility but to abuse them for fun is disgusting and a sign of weakness.

Chi Psi guys are the best guys on campus from a girl's perspective. They're not the most "fratty" and will no means be the guys who can pull girls just by showing off by dropping their org's name, but they don't haze, they're leaders, they really respect women and each other, and they do service. "Chi Psi Nice Guy"s are the kind of guys you marry. If I had a son or brother I'd want him to go Chi Psi out of the ones you listed!
