Your goal should be to have met as many guys from your target houses before rush begins. If you’ve met most guys and don’t get a bid on day one of rush ask someone you know well what you need to do. It’s likely you need to meet more guys, convince someone in particular, or you said or did something that that turned someone off and you need to resolve it. If they refuse to tell you why then they are probably stringing you along and you should focus on another house. Most chapters aim to have their pledge classes locked down by the end of day 3, but worst case some will rush through day 6. If you have not met many guys in the house, then don’t expect a bid until you have met most.

Try to go to their parties and network with them. Make sure to tell them you’re rushing so they’ll actually want to talk to you. If they’re in your class, strike up convo with them.

Hate to be the one to break it to you but frats have been building out their pledge classes all semester, inviting guys to parties and events. For some frats, rush is merely a formality. The guys they picked out show Up on day one of rush and accept their official bids. However many good frats Will still likely have room for guys they don’t know well yet. See the list in the transferring to Miami thread. You need to approach guys wearing their letters from said houses now and try to meet as many as possible before rush.
