pike - general comments

You will get a bid there if you are semi capable of being average... What I mean is they give out the most bids than any other fraternity on campus. With that being said, they will get some decent kids, but the majority of kids are try hards that think they are sweet because they are in a fraternity.

They are a respectable enough fraternity where you will still have a good time, but you should resort to them as your last option. So many kids we denied bids ended up there because (like i said) they accept everyone. They hang out with middle to below average girls. If they were more selective I would consider them a true middle tier fraternity, but since anyone can walk in and get a bid they are bottom middle tier/ high lower tier

Pike's problems are various:
-As mentioned before they have developed a reputation for not only taking the kids who were rejected from top tier houses but also take kids that have been dinged from upper and middle tier houses. Most of the other kids that arent other houses leftovers go to Pike because they went to Pike exclusively first semester and don't no better
-Pikes tend to carry a false bravado- behaving and thinking they are top tier and run the campus while they do not
-Very poor sorority relations, especially with the top sororities. The best sororities simply have better things to do with better fraternities and would never get caught dead at Pike. Typical Pike parties include way more dudes to chicks. While Pike does have some KDs, Gamma Phis, and Kappas at their parties, the hottest 5-15 percent of the girls in these sororities tend not to show and go to better fraternities.

On the positive side of things, I do know a few Pikes who seem like genuinely cool dudes who could have gone somewhere better.

Pike is awful. No one cares about them. After this semester they are on DU and TKES level.

I had a pike in one of my classes this year and he told me that they always have parties with DG, DZ, and Aphi, is this true?
