under the table exceptions regarding gpa

Out if my friends in Greek life a few, at other schools, got bids while having below minimum GPAs. I failed my finals last semester dropping my GPA to a 2.1. I've always wanted to rush a fraternity and was one of the reasons I chose Miami. I simply wanted to know if at Miami some fraternities made exceptions and still gave bids in any way.

The houses who are kicked off and remain kicked off (phi tau and sae) will because nothing they do is sanctioned but the fraternities on campus won't. Now that's not to say you could still rush receive a bid and then pledge next spring if your GPA goes up to the minimum

you cant rush a fraternity or sorority without a 2.5. you will be considered ineligible and won't be able to rush. Its Miami University rules. Should have studied harder..... 2.1 is just sad

You will be underground and therefore inelligable to live in the house sophomore year but some frats still may take you
