do legacies for sororities make a difference?

Just wondering whether sororities make a big deal out of legacies. I know at some schools its huge, but less of a deal at others.

Being a legacy really doesn't mean anything unless you are an outstanding legacy and would easily fit well within the chapter. If not, it's pretty irrelevant.
