tips/help
by: SOPH GDII'm a sophmore guy this year and thinking of rushing again. I rushed last year and didn't get any bids but didn't take it that seriously. Do I have a better or worse chance of getting a bid this year from one of the frats I rushed last year? Any tips on how I can increase my chances of getting a bid? I would ideally like to rush KA, Sig Pi (rushed there last year, made it to last day) or Phi Delt. Thanks for your help.

Don't even bother going to the houses you didn't get a bid at. If they wanted you they would have given you a bid. It's a harsh reality but it's something you're going to have to live with. With that being said I've heard sophomores having luck at Pike, DTD, Sigma Nu, or any other places looking for quality guys but don't quite have a number of high quality guys yet. If you've been hanging out a lot at any of the houses you just named and they've been inviting you back then you have a solid shot of getting a bid. If you're going in cold turkey and don't know many guys then the odds are definitely against you. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you

Last question, how can I start hanging out with guys from a certain fraternity if I don't know any of them to begin with? For example, if I was going to rush Sigma Nu or KA, i don't know anyone there so how do I start meeting people? Because I'd really like to not have to suicide rush.

yes you are at a slight disadvantage even at places you haven't rushed but nothing compared to the disadvantage sorority girls face as sophomores.
