beware of teach for america - aka tfa
by: truthBeware of Teach for America. They are trying to get rid of public schools and they are using us young people right out of college to help them get rid of teacher pensions so they can make public schools into charter schools. Don't fall for it. Don't sign up with TFA recruiters.

Charter schools are not the answer. They take public money and make a profit off children. TFA is an anti-union, anti-women, Republican group that needs to be stopped.

Regardless of your feelings about Teach For America politically, it is not a good idea to work for them. It used to be a help to get into law school or grad school, but now Teach For America looks really bad on a resume. Don't do it. You will be stuck as a teacher even if you don't want to be.

If you do TFA you will be stuck as a teacher at poor schools for the rest of your life. When you are young, they will adore you and love you, but when you get older and more expensive you will be abused by your administrators. Don't do it.

I know someone who did TFA and she had to take it off her resume and LinkedIn, cause she couldnt' get a job and she was getting hate mail.
