As a transfer student, is it impossible for me to get a bid to one of the better houses like:

Phi Psi
Sigma Pi
Theta Chi
KA
Fiji
Sig Ep
Phi Delt

I'm in a similar situation. Are you at a major disadvantage if you don't know any of the brothers before hand? How many of the kids bidded by these better houses go into rush fresh?

Best way to go about this is make friends with someone who is rushing. They can often put in a good word and have you interviewed or invited to an event.
