So I was stuck between two sororities that I really liked and the day after pref round I knew I chose wrong. Turns out I didn't get either of those and I got my third choice that I knew I didn't want. I'm just wondering, if I had listed my second choice first would that have made it more likely that I would have gotten it since they would have seen that I put them first or would it not have made a difference?

It could have changed things bc if the first choice you listed had you on its first bid list You would have marched on the first go round. If you were further on the one you listed then maybe your second choice filled up before they got to you. I am sorry that happened. Don't beat yourself up and wait and see if you have a connection with your chapter. And NO the chapters don't see how you preffed. It is done by computers and we just get the final match list
