philanthropy
by: freshI getting super nervous about what sororities did or did not cut me so I was just wondering what would make a person get cut after philanthropy round?

So it depends. Each chapter is told how many girls they can cut each round based off of how many girls wanted to return (aka return rates). "Top houses" like Theta, DG, Pi Phi have consistently high RRs and make their biggest cut after welcome round because they can. Middle houses make their biggest cuts after philanthropy and sisterhood. Bottom houses never really make big cuts except for GPA. So basically if you still have top tier you will probably keep them, but you should still expect cuts from Kappa, Zeta, GPhi, KD, Phi Mu, ADPi, and Chi O

If you are looking at top tier house, they still probably have about 1/2 the girls to cut at least. So look at your friends and figure 1/2 of them at least will be cut. BUT you will also have your list paired down so other sororities will hopefully fill those spaces Lots of great

top houses make big cuts first round (except pi phi theirs is after philanthropy), upper-mid and mid meaning zeta kappa, kd, phi mu, gphi make theirs after philanthropy and low-mid bottom houses make their cuts after sisterhood and before pref so that means adpi, aopi, tri delta, chi o.
Phi sig can't cut a ton of girls this year just because of numbers but no one knows where they will make a big cut.

For reference, I think I had 11 houses for philanthropy and only 5 for sisterhood, with like 3-4 of the ones I liked cutting me between these rounds
