don't be stupid, open mind

^^^ this i cannot stress enough. heard from a "middle tier" that someone was planning on "getting a bid" to a sorority that i belong to. now we are considering blacklisting this girl. no one is entitled to a bid like that and you will end up with no worthwhile sororitys or sisters. There are good girls everywhere. if you're too dumb and shallow to see that, trust us, no one wants you rushing. Big ego will be your downfall.

Yep, one of the PNMs we were talking to told us she was going a phi... no one knows where they're going so stop acting like you have this in the bag. I have so many friends that were 'promised' bids to a phi only to get cut before pref round. So if you wanna tell us you're not interested bc you're "going a phi" we're just gonna cut you from a top sorority, and then when a phi cuts you too you'll be out of options.
