sorority rushing: gpa

Is GPA ever a deciding factor on whether a PNM gets a bid? For example, if a pnm meets the requirements but the sorority decides they want their pledge class to hold a higher gpa. I understand that Miami requires a 2.5 to rush and each sorority has a national GPA that each pnm must reach.

If the sorority wants girls with higher Gpa's above the requirement you'd be dropped before preference round(last round) and yes it happens

in my sorority we cut people first round if their gpa is below our standard or if we don't think it will help our chapter gpa. most sororities do it like this

FYI, Don't think any sorority actually accepts a 2.5.

Bad grades could cut you ya. Almost no sorority will accept you below a 2.7
