What is the point of rushing if you don't know many upperclassmen here? I am from out of town & have made a ton of friends in the dorms & bars. Torn if I should even register...

I agree with Sully. I had no idea that if you were not from Ohio and know guys already you were basically screwed? What is the point of "Rush" then?
MIssing out on people who don't know people. Seems very high school to me, and I thought we weren't in HS anymore. I could have stayed in state and stayed "top tier"....similar to this.

It's not HS but it's competitive. You have to make a strong connection. If you go to these top houses cold and don't get immediate feedback and invites move on. Given how competitive it is it makes for a strong middle. Those houses are really good and they'll be competitive too. It's worth doing. Have a thought out plan and make the rounds.
