owned and runned by fraternities
by: ownedThis school is owned and runned by the fraternities. Fraternites are just clubs right? No, they aren't they own the school and run the school. No other club has big a-ss mansions to through parties. No other club owns houses on whole streets for their club members to live in. Why do you think Glenn McConnell could become president like that? He was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity Alpha Chapter here. He's getting them a new complex I've heard. Why? Because their the reason he's president. Fraternity parties at COFC make money for the school. The rich frat alum donate money to the school. This place is run and owned by the fraternities. Conspiracy? I think so.

True but not as big as a deal as you think. This isn't yale. The fraternities aren't like secret societies like skull and bones where they just send their members off to actually powerful posititions in government or to be ceos of companies. IF the kids in these frats get a great job it will be because their dad owns a hedge fund or something. Most of these kids are just going to be average joe d-bags and are just grunts for the fraternities. Are they more advantaged than COFC GDI's yes by a long shot. But, are they at the level of advantage and previligage of IVY league. No way. We got to COFC, there's a 70 percent accepence rate. If you don't have serious f-cking connections, companies are going to put you at the bottom of their list. Do fraternities have serious connections? Yes, but they have to compete with the other schools fraternities who have connections to find jobs. So, I guess this means if you are a GDI your just f-cked and life is hard. Getting a job is hard. But, if your in greeklife, you are now apart of the competetion with other greek organizations across the country with their ties to the business world.
You have to be in these clubs to be apart of the game. This is the game of politics. Using your connections to get ahead in life. It is a conspiracy but remember we are just at COFC not Harvard or Yale, so these frats aren't that f-cking powerful.

But as far as power and influence within the school fraternities are the school. So every member of the fraternities, particularly top tier is considered privileged. Outside the school only the kids with powerful connections i.e. trust babies will really leverage their frat membership to find a real good job. The rest will still have help finding jobs, but not great ones.
