why is it that you have to be in a fraternity for your death to matter at this school? that guy committed suicide. I dont see any plaques. Then a frat kid died in a snorkeling accident in florida and he is missed, plaques are put up, memorial scholarships are created, what the fck? are those the only people that count?

Yeah the difference with that is when a some one in greek life dies they automatically have their whole chapter morning the loss: that can range from 60-150 for fraternities and even more for sororities. That base of people spreads more than someone like this who (not throwing shade or anything i didn't know the guy) didn't have a solid base of people like that. Hence there is less mourning. It doesn't make the death any more or less important. Or any more or less sad. Just more people mourning if its someone in greek life.
