is spring rush worth it?

I went through formal recruitment and it was hell so i dropped. But the more i look around and see girls in sororities the more i want to be in one also, i just always saw myself in a sorority in college ya know? so how does spring rush work? i know not all sororities participate but is it hard to get a bid? and when will we know for sure which sororities participate?
