I just graduated last year from a "top tier"(hate that term) sorority, and to all PNM's these are the fraternities and sororities who you'll quickly see are the best.
For sororities(in no order)
ChiO, ADPi, TriDelt, ZTA(very borderline)

For fraternities(again in no order)
KapSig, PIKE, SAE, SIgChi

These 4 mix with one another and have great events, but that does not mean that others aren't great, have a lot of friends in others and it's all about where you see fit.
Happy Rushing, you'll end up exactly where you need to be!
