Beta- Class was not as great as the couple of years before but they still got the best of the sophomore class and enough to keep them at the top of the ladder. The house will still be carried by their seniors and juniors

Phi Tau- Much stronger class than last year but a lot of them are simply kids who didn't get bids to Beta. Still, enough to keep them going and possible nudge out Theta Chi in competition for second best house.

Theta Chi- got a good sizeable class, but as usual made up of a lot of kids who nobody really knows, but end up being really fun at the end of the day.

Phi Delt- haven't been there yet this semester but it seems that they got the usual group of kids. nerdy, but nice and generally fun.

DU- Again, have a large class due to all the football players. Have been to a few parties there and they've all been fun. They don't pledge so its more of a social club than a fraternity

Sigma- Wasn't allowed to rush due to hazing allegations surfacing from last year and they just got kicked off campus so I can't even really rank them fairly. They were always a weird collection of guys but had the "animal house" vibe due to just not caring about much of anything.

DKE- It was strong as an underground frat years ago competing in rush with Beta and Phi Tau but has largely declined and is on the verge of becoming irrelevant after getting a weak class in in fall 2012. Still know how to rage but there are always so few of them at their off-campus parties

1. Beta - Really cool guys and a lot of lookers, always fun to party with
2. Theta Chi - The nice guys without a doubt, a bit weird but also definitely have good parties.
3. DU - Surprisingly much better this year, the parties are sorta dumb but the guys are hot and the punch is strong
4. DKE - Seems to have a small pledge class, may or may not be going downhill but as of now they have pretty sick parties
5. Phi Tau - Lots of jerks, not super relevant, like to party though
6. Sigma - Before they got thrown off they threw down hard, kinda wish they were still around
7. Phi Delt - Nothin' wrong with them, kinda dorky though, and just very irrelevant

Beta, Tach, and Phi Tau are more or less the same. They're all, more or less, equal and have slight differences that come down to personal preference. Their parties are the only real social life at colgate. All the others don't matter. Only real difference is tach and beta are friends and go to each others parties.

It's really hard to rank frats at Colgate because they are all very different. And different people will prefer different frats for different reasons. But going by general consensus it is:

1. Beta
2. Phi Tau
3. Theta Chi
4. DKE
5. DU
6. BDS/AEPi
7. Sigma
8. Phi Delt

Phi Tau and Theta Chi can be interchangeable depending on who you ask.
