General Consensus from freshman's point of view:
Top house: Theta Chi
Second tier: Beta/Phi Delt
Bottom tier: Phi Tau/Sig Chi
Football house: DU

if you guys went to bucknell, theta chi and beta would be mid tier at best. kkg would be mid tier as well suck it colgate

Fact, DKE still rules.
Deke 'til dawn y'all!

1. Beta - Preppy, definitely the top tier, throw the best parties undisputed, extremely competitive. Gramps not horrible, usually just punching the pledges in the face and making them carry heavy stuff.
2. PKT - Top tier as well but has a rep for being a bit creepy (I don't believe it). Their parties are not as organized/good as Beta's- worst gramps by far, all I'll say is "doughnut"
3. Theta Chi (though this frat is often desired more than PKT, likely has best reputation on campus) Great guys, great parties, the gramps here are just awful- handle thursdays! They also tend to beat up their pledges- and I mean "beat up", not punch.
4. DU- rising up in rankings, not just a football frat anymore, very diverse in terms of types of guys- gramps can be bad but never anything awful- also erratic because of sports season- probably lightest gramps of them all
5. Phi Delt/Sigma- Sigma used to be "creepy" not they are a creepy/geeky hybrid; phi delt the good guy frat. Gramps for both not horrible, though Phi Delt is "trying" to be more competitive
6. DKE- still cool, still around, but very much on the down low and in hiding. Only certain people even get to hang out with them in their DKE perspectives i.e. Sorella and maybe Kappas
7. BDS- with the addition of pac house this year they have become a lot more mainstream. Used to be where the freshman would go but now their parties are more limited to certain groups of people the know, potentially cooler than phi delt or sigma- but no egos

As a freshman, here is the consensus:

1. Theta Chi: cool guys, most fun parties, extremely tough pledge process
2. Beta: great house, preppy, get hot girls
3. Phi Delt/Phi Tau: Phi Delt has nice guys, Phi Tau was once a top house
5. DKE/DU: DKE has lost its presence...DU is mostly athletes
7. BDS/Sigma Chi: BDS is good, Sigma Chi is falling apart

Top Tier:
Beta/Tau/DKE
Middle Tier:
Tach/Phi Delt
Bottom Tier:
Sigma/DU/BDS

Top Tier:
1. Beta/DKE- Both great, barely any really creepy guys, and always good parties. Generally chill and it never seems like they're trying too hard.Beta had the best pledge class by far.
2. Theta Chi- Really nice guys who always know how to have a good time, and parties are usually awesome, and never disappoint. This year's pledge class wasn't as great they probably hoped, but it was definitely one of the better ones of all the frats.

Mid Tier:
3. PKT- A lot of awesome guys, but there's a good number who just seem really out of place there. You can always expect a good time there, since they're pretty consistent party-wise. Biggest knock against them is that they always seem like they try way too hard. Kind of dissapointing pledge class, but still plenty of good guys in the house.
4. Sigma- Despite what they might keep telling themselves, they're a long way from their rep being repaired. For the most part they care way more about just having fun than being classy to any degree. OK pledge class with a couple really great guys, and it seems like they're headed in the right direction.
Bottom Tier:
5. DU- Literally the only reason they're not ranked higher is their lack of parties. All the guys are awesome, but as a house, it really doesn't bring much to the table.
6. Phi Delt- All extremely nice, "safe" guys, but at the same time everyone knows the nerdy stereotype associated with them. Pledge Class is exactly what you'd expect from Phi Delt.

Beta: Will remain the top house like usual.
PKT and DKE: Up to debate over which one should be ranked higher. DKE is awesome. People say PKT falls apart every other year but then they will pull in a very strong pledge class the following year and people will suddenly be saying that they are back. Point to be taken away is that they are strong and will likely remain that way.
Tach: Fairly close in ranking to PKT and DKE. They're last two pledge classes haven't been particularly as strong as they would have liked but their senior class' strength and their solid reputation will continue to ensure their stability.
Phi Delt: A good jump behind Tach in terms of reputation but has seen improvement over the years. The pledge classes have been pretty strong, meaning that they are much better than what you would expect from Phi Delt. The kids tend to be high out of their minds or on something pretty much all the time.
Sigma: Used to be a top house and still knows how to party and are a lot of fun. However their reputation of being creepy has made them an unattractive option during rush. Sigma consistently gives out over 60 bids per year and usually gets about 19 of those kids.
DU: They're a football house. Good dudes but they don't really have the time to throw the parties that they could be throwing. Also the non football kids in the house tend to be pretty obvious and weird.
BDS: Secretly AEPi, could maybe become better but they need the proper time to grow and establish themselves.

It's really weird that DKE keeps getting ranked highly here... definitely dying as we speak. But, other than that:

1. Beta: handsome,fun, though they don't rage like tach, always get the hottest girls
1a. Tach: senior class is the best in the school, and have pulled very strong classes in the last two years, allowing them to jump PKT. Parties are really fun (though maybe to much of a 'rager' atmosphere). Not quite Beta, but definitely the other top tier house.

2. Phi Tau: this is the year they finally fell behind Tach. Really weak class of creepy guys who think theyre cool. Also fell behing on the whole attractiveness thing this year as well. Still one of the big three, but no longer 2nd best.

3. DKE: cool kids, but getting less and less people every year, will die out in the near future

4,5,6. Sigma, DU, and Phi Delt: Who cares, sigma is creepy, DU is not a real frat and Phi Delt doesn't have parties

From a girl's perspective:

Top:

Beta: Very preppy guys, killer parties, especially Fraturdays. Typically associated with Kappa and Sorella.

Tach: Hands down the most fun I've ever had at a Fraturday. Their parties can get a little intense, so be prepared. They never run out of beer, drinking games are fun, and unlike other frats, they actually talk to girls instead of creepily staring us down.

Phi Tau: I've never been there, but everyone I know raves about their after hours. The only downside is that the guys basically hang out on the edges of the dance floor just watching the girls. A little creepy, but consistently open for parties.

Everyone Else:

DU: Personally one of my favorites, but they rarely throw parties. Since most guys in DU are athletes, parties are sporadic because of sports season, and given the football team's losses this season, there wasn't really much to celebrate. Good house, good guys.

Phi Delt: Nice guys, nothing overtly special. A little awkward, but their foam party kills it every time.

Sigma Chi: Seem to be redeeming themselves. They let girls pour their own drinks but are still a bit aggressive in terms of dancing, moving upstairs, etc. Let's see what a few good PCs do. Either way, great pit stop to drink more.

DKE: I never hear about DKE parties until after they happen, and they seem to have less of a presence this year than in years past. I have also heard that it is never a good idea to drink the punch there.
